Can I change the HiTAC filter myself?
The HiTAC® filter inside the boiling water tank improves the taste of the water. This carbon water filter removes contaminants and impurities from your water. The carbon absorbs chlorine, certain pesticides and organic pollutants, improves taste and eliminates odours and discolouration.
Depending on the quality of the water in your area, the filter should be changed approximately every 3-5 years. Depending on the type of Quooker tank you have, you may be able to change this filter yourself. We provide step by step instructions and tools with the filter. Alternatively we can arrange for a service visit from one of our experienced engineers (a call out fee applies).
Self-servicing the EQ Tanks (for use with the Nordic and Fusion range of taps) is not so straightforward and we recommend an engineer's visit.
