Replace your filter

CUBE filter HF-AC

Suitable for CUBE systems delivered before August 2022

The CUBE is equipped with an Active Carbon filter and a Hollow Fibre filter. Both filters together ensure a better water quality because they filter bacteria, chloride, chemicals and pesticides from the water. For hygienic reasons, the filters should be replaced every 12 months, regardless of the amount of water used.

Snooze/reset filter timer

When the CUBE starts to beep, it is time for new filters. The CUBE can be snoozed for 72 hours. During this time, you can order a new filter set in our webshop. Briefly press the red flashing button below the sliding panel on top of the CUBE. The red light will go out and the beeping sound will stop temporarily.

Replacement instructions

Step 1: Order your new cartridge in our webshop.

Step 2: Unscrew the old CUBE cartridges (counter clockwise).

Step 3: Screw in the new CUBE cartridges firmly until they cannot be tightened any further (clockwise).

Step 4: Place the cartridge holder back into in the CUBE. Press down firmly until you hear a ‘click’.

Step 5: Press and hold the red button below the sliding panel on top of the CUBE for 6 seconds to reset the timer.

You can find more information about this filter in the datasheet below.

CUBE filter AC+HF

Suitable for CUBE systems delivered after August 2022

The CUBE is equipped with a dual Active Carbon filter and a Hollow Fibre filter. Both filters together ensure a better water quality because they filter bacteria, chloride, chemicals and pesticides from the water. For hygienic reasons, the cartridge should be replaced every 12 months, regardless of the amount of water used.

Snooze/reset filter timer

If the filter is saturated, the CUBE displays a message on the display and emits a beeping signal. This signal can be snoozed for 72 hours using the snooze button on the display. During this time, you can order a new cartridge in our webshop. If you have replaced the filter, go to ‘filter’ on the display and click on it. The CUBE will then ask you whether you have replaced the filter. After your approval, the 12-month counter restarts.

Replacement instructions

Step 1: Order your new filter cartridge in our webshop.

Step 2: Unscrew the old CUBE cartridge (counter clockwise).

Step 3: Screw in the new CUBE cartridge firmly until they cannot be tightened any further (clockwise).

Step 4: Confirm that the filter has been replaced via the display on the CUBE, the counter restarts.

You can find more information about this filter in the datasheet below.

Cold water filter cartridge

Activated Carbon filter for use with the Cold Water Filter or Quooker Water Switch which ensures the water tastes and smells better. The cartridge has a lifespan of 12 months.

Snooze/reset filter timer

The alarm will beep and the LED will flash when the user dispenses filtered water after 12 months of use, indicating it’s time to replace the cartridge. (Some older models have a 6 month timer). The Cold Water Filter can be snoozed for 7 days by briefly pressing the red button on top of the cartridge holder. After replacing the cartridge, press the button for 5 seconds to reset the timer.

Replacement instructions

Step 1: Order your new filter cartridge in our webshop.

Step 2: Turn off the water supply by closing the isolation valve (blue lever).

Step 3: Unscrew the old filter cartridge (counter clockwise).

Step 4: Screw in the new filter cartridge (clockwise).

Step 5: Turn on the water supply by opening the isolation valve (blue lever).

Step 6: Flush the filter by running 2 litres of water.

Step 7: Press and hold the red button on top of the cartridge holder until the double-beep to reset timer.

Scale Control Plus

The Scale Control Plus has been developed to lengthen the lifespan of your Quooker by reducing the water hardness.

Lifespan

When installed with a Scale Control Meter: when alarm sounds and 0% flashes on the display. Snooze the alarm for 72 hours by pressing the wheel on the Scale Control Plus Meter. When the cartridge has been replaced, turn on the meter by pressing the wheel once and turn the wheel to ‘reset’. Press the wheel to confirm.

When installed without a Scale Control Meter: when a certain amount of water has passed through the Scale Control Plus, the cartridge needs to be replaced. You can check the lifespan of your Scale Control Plus in the document below ‘Determining Scale Control Plus cartridge lifespan UK’.

Replacement instructions

Step 1: Order your new cartridge in our webshop.

Step 2: Press the on/off switch on the top of the tank. Dispense boiling and cold water together in order to release the pressure from the system and then close it when the water runs completely cold. Turn off the mains water supply or stopcock. If an inlet combination is present, also close it.

Step 3: Unscrew the old cartridge (counter clockwise).

Step 4: Screw in the new cartridge (clockwise).

Step 5: Turn on the mains water supply or stopcock and, if present, the inlet combination. Ventilate the system by opening the boiling water tap. Flush the system with 20 litres of water until the water runs clear. Turn on the tank.

Step 6: When installed with a Scale Control Meter, turn on the meter by pressing the wheel once. Turn the wheel to ‘reset’ and press the wheel to confirm.

You can find more information about the replacement of this cartridge in the manual below.

Scale Control R

The Scale Control R reduces the hardness of the water in order to prevent limescale build-up in the Quooker tank. This extends its lifespan and improves the taste of the water.

Lifespan

The cartridge must be replaced before it becomes completely saturated. When installed with a Meter: If it is not possible to replace the cartridge when the alarm sounds, you can temporarily snooze it (for 72 hours) by pressing the wheel on the Scale Control R Meter.

Replacement instructions

Step 1: Order a new cartridge via our webshop

Step 2: Switch off the Quooker tank using the ‘Q’ button, but do not unplug it. Activate the boiling water tap (push-push-turn) and let the water run until it runs cold. Also run the cold water tap at the same time. Stop the tap when it is completely cold. Close the isolation valve (PRO3 B/COMBI B) or the isolation valve on the inlet combination valve (PRO3 E/PRO7 E/COMBI E).

Step 3: Detach the saturated cartridge by unscrewing it out of the head and replace it with a new one.

Step 4: Open the isolation valve (PRO3 B/COMBI B) or the isolation valve of the inlet combination valve (PRO3 E/PRO7 E/COMBI E). Ventilate the system by activating the boiling water tap and run for 20 seconds. Check for leaks. Now activate the boiling function again and let the water run for about 5 minutes, until the water runs clear. Switch on the tank using the Q button. Once the water has heated up again, the Quooker system is ready to use.

Step 5: When installed with a Scale Control R Meter: resetting the Meter. Wake-up the Meter by pressing the wheel once. Turn the wheel to ‘reset’ and press the wheel to confirm. The screen will go blank after a short while, it does this to conserve power.
